Another week

[February 9]

Family and Friends,

Well this week started off with pretty much no one to teach. So we just started talking with lots of people in the streets, and before we knew it there were tons of people to teach 🙂
Pretty soon we had three or four people to teach in one street. It was awesome. And people really great and receptive.
All of the sudden we had lots of appointments and things to do. We were really excited to be working. But then I got really sick.
I think I got a virus or something. I’m not sure exactly, but I had a huge head ache, and lost all energy. I almost fainted, and had to go back to our apartment to rest. I slept the whole morning and afternoon, don’t even know how. I’ve never felt so tired and lifeless before.
But don’t worry I’m already a lot better.
Despite loosing about three days, people went to church 🙂
A guy that we met, [Redacted] went to church with his son [Redacted]. And another lady we met the other night [Redacted] went too 🙂
This week we have lots to do, and thankfully I’m a lot better.
Another annoying thing is that the memmory card for my camera isn’t working. Looks like I wont be able to take pictures any more. ugh…..
Thanks for all your love and support,
^Sister Pew

Another week

[February 2]

Family and Friends,

So another week here in Feitosa 🙂
This week was little more trying & tiring. Basically all of our appointments and plans fell through. Yeah it was one of those weeks. But it happens.
We tried teaching [Redacted] and help her go to church Sunday, but in the end she didn’t even go. Frustrating. But people have to choose for themselves.
But despite the disapointments we had some great surprises 🙂
First of all was [Redacted]. She’s the grandma of a less active young man we’re trying to help. We’ve talked with her a few times, and she’s really nice but didn’t show much interest. But yesterday out of the blue she went to church and loved it. She said that she felt a lot of peace there, and learned a lot. So we’re defenetly going to try working with her now 🙂
The second surprise was [Redacted]. A member gave us his adress more than a week ago. We tried visiting his house abot three times without luck. But yesterday he was home and we finally got to the chance to visit with him. Turns out he’s really awesome and has a lot of interest to visit the church. He’s already been a few times, but it was years ago.
Really the Lord always provides a way. When our olans fall through there’s always something else to be done, or some onbe else to visit. 🙂
Have a great week,
~Sister Pew

Another week

[January 26]

Family & Friends,

It was another great week in Feitosa 🙂
We’re having a great time working really hard here. Last sunday a recent convert [Redacted] brought her sister [Redacted] to church so we starting teaching her. [Redacted] is …. really funny. She’s from what they call here “interior” I don’t know if the exact equvilent exist in the u.s… but basically it’s like living in the country or woods or something. So she’s a bit… how can i put this nicely… un-educated. She’s doesn’t speaking Portugesse all that well or read or write. And she says stuff really funny. But she has a lot of faith, and like the church a lot. We enjoyed teaching her 🙂
We’re visiting one lady [Redacted] that’s been goin to church for a long time now. She really wants to be baptised, but isn’t married and isn’t sure if she wants to get married. She’s been having a hard time making the decision. But she has a lot of faith, and will be baptised one day 🙂
We also started teach a couple, [Redacted] and [Redacted]. They [the email ended here; I don’t know what happened to the rest of it.]
