Another week

Family & friends,
Whaaaaaaaaaaattt UP?
So this week was pretty good. It startd off a bit slow, but got better 🙂
oh my gosh this key board is the worst. Sorry if this email has more mess ups than normal. Ugh!
Any ways, this week I dyed my hair and got a little trim, don’t know if y’all be able to tell the difference but I attached a picture. The other picture is me with my companion Sis Caetano 🙂
For any of you wondering why i dyed and cut my hair, I felt like it.
The biggest highlight of the week was that thursday my mission had Mission Tour. Happens every couple years or so. It’s when some sort of general authority visits the mission and tells us all the things we’re doing wrong. Haha 🙂
But seriously it was awesome. We were visited by one of the seventy, I’m not going to try to wrie his name.. It’s different. But he gave a talk at General Conference that’s probably titled “If any of you lack wisdom” or something like that.
Well any ways it was really great, the spirit was really strong, and everyone left really excited to work. He talked about tons of things, but the focus was on obidience to the mission rules, and better planning. I learned a LOT.
Then this weekend we had pretty good success. We went back to visit [Redacted], an ivestigator we’d stopped teaching a couple weeks ago because she never went to church. She’d called us up and asked us to visit her again. Wel we talked with her and made it clear that we can only help people that will go to church. And then she was at church Sunday 🙂
We also started teaching a family a member introduced us to. They’re really great, and were at church yesterday too.
So pretty great stuff.
Thanks for all your support,

Another week

Family & Friends,
So we had another great week here 🙂
I started it off by getting a hair trim by this awesome lady in the ward here, [Redacted]. She not only cut my hair, but took us to visit her friends afterwards. The lesson went super great. And [Redacted] was saying afterwards that she needs to go out with us more. I’d like to invite all of you reading this to do the same 🙂
The rest of the week was pretty unexciting. Just working and all that good stuff 🙂
The annoying thing about this week is the election. Ugh.
There’ll be an election in Oct and the streets are already FULL of campaign posters. Which is bad enough. But there are also these super annoying trucks that pass throught the streets what feels like every 10 minutes blaring campaign music. Yeah all the candadites have music with thier name and ballot number repeating over, and over, and OVER again. It’s pretty much the most annoying thing… EVER.
And it’s only the beginning on Sep, I can only imagine it will get worse.
Despite this, we managed to teach and find new people, and it was pretty good week 🙂
Thanks for all your support,
~Sister Pew

Another week

Family and Friends,
Welp another week here in Maceó. I´m not gonna lie, the work was hard this week. But not completely without sucess 🙂
We´re helping a lot of inactive people return to church. Yesterday nearly all of them were there. Including one girl, [Redacted], that I´ve been visiting for MONTHS. I visited her a lot, but she never went to church. For the first time, she was there yesterday. I can´t express how happy I felt to see her there.
Church is so great, why is it such a struggle to get people there? Your missiong out on blessings people!
We´re spending a lot of time in the streets just looking for people, but it gets hard once every one in your area knows you. Seriously the drunks in the streets know me. By name.
But you know what some weeks are just like that, this week will be better 🙂
Thanks for all your support,
~Sister Pew

To explain the photos:
The first is Sister Almeida and I. I don´t know if you can tell, but we were soaked. It rains a LOT.
The second is me eating a weird northern Brasil fruit… I forget the name of it. It´s good, but you just suck on it, can´t chew. Like I said, weird

Amanda and Sis. Almeida, soaked.
